What is a gTLD?

Gtlds is gTLDs or Generic Top-Level Domains are top-level domains (the far-right segment of a web address) managed by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). They were called “generic” to differentiate them from ccTLDs, country code top-level domains. The first gTLDs were .com, .net, .org, .edu, .gov and .int.
